Busy Days! from From the Strawberry Patch...

We're in a hot and humid weather pattern right now; no surprises there, indoor activities during the heat of the day are the norm around here. I finished quilting up "School Spirit" and was able to score a pretty piece of red solid for binding when I visited a cute quilt shop in Greensboro, NC on Friday. We were there to watch Lucy Ann swim in the Age Group State Championships (lane 7, below). She

Too Many Men Wall Hanging - A Finished UFO from Grandma's Red Needle

I have a few FINISHED UFO's to show. I'll start with this one.
This post has been in draft mode since April, just waiting for photos.
Photos were finally done today, but due to strong glare from the sun and blue sky, they didn't turn out as good as I hoped. Oh well... I'm not a photographer!

Since I finished my goal for April early (Dwellings), I thought it would be nice to finish a smaller quilt; the snowmen wall hanging.

I'm determined to work on UFO's, but in between I need a break to work on smaller projects. After doing a little counting today, I've decided to finish (most of) the projects laying on the table and chair, before I touch anything else! (Easier said than done!) I've not set a timeframe, because that won't work for me! I didn't take ...

APQ UFO Challenge 2020: October and November Finishes from Grandma's Red Needle

The weeks since my previous post have flown by like a whirlwind! I've been busy painting the bath/wash room, TV-room and part of the staircase. I can't say the reno is completed; a few things are left to be done. The reno has kept me away from sewing and I have enjoyed the break from sewing and doing something else! The Christmas Quilt top is done, that's all the sewing I've done lately.

During the lock-down (April & May), I was determined to finish as many UFO's as possible. What else to do when you ...

OMG July 2020 from Urban Quilter

Quilting detail - Purple Bargello
My one-monthly-goal for this month is to finish my purple bargello. I finished quilting it last month and added the binding which now needs to be sewn to the back by hand. I plan to hang it in the front entry of my house so it will also need a hanging sleeve added.
